Thermocouples with Kanthal thermowells for measurement up to 1300 deg C into incinerators and fluesgas are made in type K (NiCr-Ni) and type N (Pyrosil). A solid Stellite or Stelite coated weld overlay thermowell, designed for abrasive flue gas measurement up to 1600 deg C offer protection against wear due to the agressive medium. For temperatures up to 1800 deg C, there are Platinum - Platinum Rhodium thermocouples in the types of R, S and B with Ceramic or Silicon Carbide (SiSiC) protective tubes. For measurement in glass furnaces, plating baths, ovens, flue gas and other harsh environments, we also provide more exotic thermocouple protection tubes next Kanthal, like Haynes, Silicon Carbide, Tantalum, Titanium, Hastelloy and Monel. With the right protection and robust construction can be guaranteed a long life.

These thermocouples are specifically designed for heavy duty temperature sensing applications like ovens, machines and industrial environments where their robust construction ensures a prolonged sensor life. Most of our sensors can be manufactured for use in hazardous areas and are certified ATEX and IECEx for Gas and Dust.

Thermo-Electra manufactures handheld thermocouple probes for every application from -200 up to 1100 deg. C. Standard available with Type K thermocouple, and as Pt100 RTD's. Standard handprobes can be supplied from stock. Thermocouple and resistance Pt100 handheld probes are delivered with a molded cable and connector.
